Tubi Is First AVOD On Amazon Echo Show Devices

Ad-supported streamer Tubi — which this week launched an aggressive, celebrity-packed “Not on Netflix” marketing campaign — has announced it is now available for streaming on Amazon Echo Show devices.

That makes Tubi the first AVOD on those devices.

Users can now use either Alexa voice commands or the device touchscreens to launch Tubi and find and control programming choices.

In September, Tubi reported that its users had streamed more than 132 million hours of content — up 40% since May — and that it plans to launch in the U.K. next year.

Tubi can also be streamed on www.tubi.tv; on Android and iOS mobile devices Comcast Xfinity X1, Cox Contour; and on OTT devices including Amazon Fire TV, Sony TVs, Samsung TVs Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Tubi has far more TV-MA content than the other streamers, which may not be the ad climate for most buying.
