Barbarian, the Cheil Worldwide digital creative agency, is launching its first office outside the U.S., in Warsaw, which the agency said would serve as a “launch pad” for European
clients.
The new outpost is already hard at work on multiple projects for Samsung. It is also collaborating with Barbarian New York on efforts for undisclosed clients.
The
Warsaw office will be led by Managing Director Slawek Wala, who most recently served as head of digital for Poland-based agency, Cheil Poland.
The office will have a range of
capabilities, including 24/7 content creation and management, data-driven retail marketing specialists and creatives with backgrounds in the European market.
The Warsaw debut follows the
agency’s appointments of Steven Moy to CEO and Lamar Hines to Chief Technology Officer earlier this year, as well as the launch of Barbarian Labs.
The agency also recently announced new business
wins, including Lansing, MI-based Emergent Holdings, a national insurance provider, and EKA Software Solutions, a commodities trading platform.
