Domino's Expands Pizza Order Location Tracking

Domino’s Pizza is launching its GPS delivery tracking technology nationwide following tests started earlier this year.

After ordering a pizza, customers receive an estimated delivery time and can follow their order on an interactive map on their order confirmation page.

“We know customers love Domino’s Tracker and the ability to monitor their orders in the store,” states Dennis Maloney, Domino’s senior vice president and chief digital officer. “Now they will also be able to watch their orders on the way to their house.”

The tracking service testing started in April in select areas of Michigan, Virginia and Washington and now will start to roll out to stores nationwide, adding about a quarter of stores by the end of this year and most within the next year, according to Domino’s.

Store managers also can view where their delivery drivers are on the road to help manage in-store logistics.
