Acquia To Acquire AgilOne, CDP Provider

Acquia, which offers a digital experience platform, has signed a deal to acquire AgilOne, a provider of a customer data platform (CDP). The terms were not disclosed.

The combined firms will help brands obtain a single view of the customer driven by machine learning and analytics, says Mike Sullivan, president and CEO of Acquia.

In addition, clients can avoid the problem of siloed data, Sullivan says. 

All AgilOne employees have been offered positions at Acquia, and all executives will remain in place, the company says. 

AgilOne will be available to all Acquia partners. 

Sullivan says the purchase is “a critical milestone in the growth of Acquia’s Open Digital Experience Platform.” 

The company expects to introduce new features to products in its Open Marketing Cloud, including better segmentation, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
