Demonstrating its commitment to expanding in India, considered a top growth market for major agency groups, Havas has acquired Indian experiential agency Shobiz, its third agency acquisition in the country this year.
Headquartered in Mumbai, it has a staff of 300 across five offices.
Earlier this year, Havas acquired Think Design and Langoor in an effort to strengthen its digital and design capabilities in the market.
Shobiz will continue to be led by its CEO Sameer Tobaccowala, who will report to Vishnu Mohan, chairman-CEO, Havas Group India and Southeast Asia.
According to Zenith's latest ad spend forecast, India is now the third-largest contributor to global advertising growth and is projected to surpass China as the second-largest growth contributor sometime in the middle of the coming decade.
