Anheuser-Busch Beer Promotes Dog Fostering, Adoption

Animal shelters and rescue centers across the country have put adoptions on hold in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and are calling on volunteers to foster or adopt the thousands of dogs and cats currently housed and also still incoming.

Anheuser-Busch InBev has stepped in to aid in those efforts and encourage a little companionship for all U.S. residents currently sheltering in place.

Foster a Dog, Get Busch” is a partnership between the Busch brand and Midwest Animal Rescue & Services rewarding those willing to open up their home to a new best friend with free Busch beer.

The promotion was created by Draftline and M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment. It is being promoted on social media, including Instagram.

From March 25 through April 25, anyone who fosters or adopts a dog through MARS will receive a 3-month supply of Busch beer (by way of a $100 gift card). The first 500 approved applicants will get the gift cards, only one per household.

Volunteers fill out an application by visiting https://www.midwestanimalrescue.org and mark Busch in the referral, or can visit busch.com/fosterdogs to learn more.

Busch is also making a $25,000 contribution to Midwest Animal Rescue & Services, a shelter that has been dedicated to placing animals in homes across the nation for the past 14 years.

Many Busch drinkers live in the Midwest, which is why Midwest Animal Rescue and Services was chosen, says Daniel Blake, vice president Value Brands, Anheuster-Busch InBev.

“It’s an unprecedented time in our world right now, and when we saw the stories about animal shelters shutting down, we wanted to lend our support,” Blake tells Marketing Daily. “We know our community will get behind us and answer the call.”
