As more people stay home due to COVID-19, videoconferencing apps have seen a surge in downloads, according to the latest tally by App Annie.

Zoom Cloud Meetings led downloads in the U.S., U.K. and Europe, with downloads reaching 14 times the weekly average in the U.S. during the week of March 15.

Hangouts Meet downloads reached 30 times the average weekly downloads in the U.S. and 140 times the weekly average in Italy.

Overall business apps topped 62 million downloads during the week of March 15, an increase of 45% from the prior week and a 90% increase from the weekly average of business app downloads in 2019, and the biggest week ever, according to the report.
