Ad Council Rallies Popular Young Influencers To Spread Stay-At-Home Message

It’s no secret that many younger adults have been slow to embrace social distancing because, well, they think they’re going to live forever. And no stinking virus is going to slow them down.

Never mind the part about how they might transmit the disease to an older person, or someone with underlying conditions who might die.
But The Ad Council is hoping to set them straight with a new PSA featuring some of their well-known contemporaries — including DJ Khaled, musician Noah Cyrus and Netflix “Love Is Blind” breakout star Giannina Gibelli--to reinforce the stay at home message.

The PSA mixes individually-shot messages to form a collective call-to-action urging people to stay at home.

Agency Pereira O’Dell helped to script and edit the PSA.

The Ad Council recruited all of the talent through “Creators for Good,” its in-house talent engagement arm.

The video is being posted by talent on their own channels and supported in donated media on major digital platforms, including Google/YouTube, Facebook/Instagram and Snapchat.
