Choice Hotels' Sleep Inn Partners With Relaxation App

Thanks to COVID-19, travelers have plenty of reasons to be anxious. Sleep Inn is introducing a customer perk with the goal of easing the pain.

The Choice Hotels midscale hotel brand is partnering with Relax Melodies by Ipnos, a sleep and relaxation app.

For the duration of their stay, Sleep Inn guests can enjoy complimentary, ad-free access to the premium version of the Relax Melodies app, featuring more than 160 guided meditations along with music, soundscapes, and more than 50 bedtime stories. The app has more than 3 million monthly active users and has been downloaded more than 50 million times worldwide.

As part of the collaboration, Relax Melodies has developed an exclusive content series for Sleep Inn, including three Sleep Inn-branded sound mixes, a meditation and a bedtime story.

Guests can access this content or create their own personalized sound mixes at any of the more than 400 Sleep Inn hotels in the United States and Canada. Access has also been extended to all Choice Hotels corporate employees as a stress management and wellness tool.

Getting a good night’s sleep has always been important to travelers, but today more than ever, consumers are craving a restful perience as they navigate a changing travel environment, according to the hotel brand.

The collaboration complements Sleep Inn's continued commitment to facilitating better rest through catering to each of the five senses, including by leveraging soothing colors, nature-inspired design elements and modern furnishings. It also fits with the hotelier’s brand promise: “'Dream Better Here.”

Almost all (96%) of Relax Melodies users report better sleep after using the app, and 88% noticed a marked decrease in anxiety.

Research shows that autonomous sensory meridian response sounds and binaural beats, which are included in Relax Melodies' library of carefully crafted sounds, play a role in lowering anxiety and inducing deep sleep.
