Ad Highlighting Unconscious Bias Is Among Emmy Finalists

Five spots made the finalist cut for the 2020 Emmy in the outstanding commercial category, including a spot that addresses the unconscious bias faced by Black men.

The commercial competition is part of the Emmy’s Primetime awards program. The telecast announcing the 2020 Primetime awards airs on ABC September 20.

Saturday Morning agency and Stink Films made “The Look,” for Procter & Gamble that highlights the unconscious bias faced by Black men in daily life.

BBDO and production company Smuggler made “Back to School Essentials” for Sandy Hook Promise, a non-profit that trains students and adults to know the signs of gun violence.

Droga5 and production company Somesuch xRevolver made the Amazon ad, “Before Alexa.”

TBWA Media Arts Lab and Pulse Films made “Bounce” for Apple AirPods.

Highdive Advertising and O Positive made “Groundhog Day” for Jeep Chrysler.
