Havas Shops Win Helen Of Troy Consolidated Assignment

Helen of Troy is appointing a trio of Havas agencies, to manage the company’s Health and Home business, including Braun Thermometers, Honeywell portable air purifiers and PUR water filtration devices.

Arnold will now oversee creative for the portfolio, expanding the Helen of Troy relationship which began in 2014 when the shop started developing creative for the PUR brand, in coordination with Havas Media and Red Havas to lead media and PR, respectively.

This account win serves as an endorsement for Havas’s April decision to integrate Arnold and Havas Media Boston under one leadership team. Although the two shops remain separate agencies, the intended goal is to win more  business assignments that include both creative and media components.

The business had been scattered across an array of agency partners. Blue Chip handled a large chunk of this business, including Honeywell’s and Braun’s creative and media accounts as well as PR responsibilities for PUR and Braun. Honeywell switched to Havas from 360PR. PUR’s media was previously handled by Spark Foundry.

“Our Health & Home products are an especially big focus for consumers right now, so it is critical that we have the right marketing and communications partners,” said Christophe Coudray, president of the health and home division at Helen of Troy. “We need partners that balance size and scale with unmistakable agility and Arnold already has a proven track record on our PUR brand, and they were able to bring together the right cross-agency team for us from across the Havas Group.”

The integrated scope will include new creative campaigns for Braun Thermometers and Honeywell set to launch this fall.

Last year, Helen of Troy spent $7 million advertising its portfolio of brands, according to Kantar Media.
