TripleLift Taps OMD Veteran Winkler For New Strategy Role

Ad tech company TripleLift has appointed agency veteran Ben Winkler as senior vice president, agency strategy, a new role at the company.

Winkler joins from Omnicom media agency OMD where he held several C-level roles over nine years there.

As Chief Transformation Officer Winkler is credited with creating OMDs first programmatic upfront. As Chief Investment Officer, he was responsible for $12 billion in annual media spend and reorganized the agency’s broadcast team into a platform-agnostic video investment group.

During his time at OMD he worked with clients like Hasbro, Cigna, Pepsi and Apple.

In his new role Winkler is tasked with developing a strategy designed to build stronger ties with ad/marketing holding companies. As the firm continues its expansion into display, video and OTT products, the company believes it needs to work more closely with agency leaders to optimize product development and innovation.
