Marketing automation platform Springbot has added SMS to the list of channels it supports, including email and social.
The service allows merchants to communicate with subscribers who have opted in to receive text messages.
Setup and the keyword selection process are designed for easy use, the company claims.
Springbot notes that SMS is used by such retail brands as Home Depot, Reebok and Petco.
“If these bigger brands have it we thought, why not our stores?” states Jarrett Board, senior director of product management.
The new feature is working well for one Springbot client, sustainable consumer goods retailer Re-Play, says Chante Green, digital sales and marketing director for the family-owned business.
