Merkle Rejiggers Americas, EMEA Leadership Roles

Merkle, the Dentsu data-driven customer experience management company, is reorganizing its leadership in the Americas and EMEA.

Michael Komasinski is moving up into the dual role of president, Merkle Americas and leader of the dentsu CXM business in the Americas. Margaret Wagner is succeeding Komasinski in his previous role as president, Merkle EMEA and leader of the dentsu CXM business in EMEA. These appointments will take effect January 1. 

Previously Wagner was chief growth officer in EMEA for the past three years. 

Komasinski is credited with growing the EMEA operation from 550 employees and $80 million in annual revenue to more than 3,500 employees and $400 million in annual revenue.

Prior to his role in EMEA, Komasinski ran Merkle’s US Digital Agency business, and prior to Merkle, he served as chief operating officer at Razorfish and president at Schawk Retail Marketing, SKG.

Komasinski will report to Merkle Global CEO Craig Dempster and will relocate from London to New York City next June. Komasinki succeeds Dempster (who has been doing double duty as Americas and Global chief) in the Americas role. 

Prior to Merkle, Wagner served as CMO at Omnicom’s RAPP and held executive positions at Wunderman. She too will report to Dempster.
