PMG, the recently named MediaPost Independent Agency of the Year, is on a hiring tear after a series of new business wins including TikTok, Omni Hotels, Michael Kors and Best Western.

The Fort Worth-based agency has just expanded its creative department by a dozen positions and has filled five of those slots with former staffers of Dallas-based The Richards Group, which is still trying to right itself after racist remarks made by the agency’s founder Stan Richards last month.

The former TRGers  include a pair of award-winning creatives, Kyle Kelley and Andrew Harper who join as executive creative directors. The duo are known are known for their work for brands including Dr Pepper, The Home Depot, Chrysler, GameStop, and AMC’s Mad Men during their tenure at TRG.

At PMG, the pair will be based in the agency’s Dallas office and will partner closely with senior creative director Scott Everett, who currently leads PMG’s creative team. All three will report to PMG CEO George Popstefanov.

Others joining from TRG include Nick Denman as associate creative director, and Fiona Cohen and Luis Cuenca as motion graphics designers.

In addition to the recent wins listed above PMG’s client roster includes Beats by Dre, Old Navy, Sephora, SurveyMonkey, GitLab and others.
