Shipt Enlists Gabrielle Union, Snoop Dogg For Holiday Effort

Same-day delivery company Shipt connected long-time friends Gabrielle Union and Snoop Dogg for a virtual get-together where the two swapped their favorite holiday recipes.

The four-minute video supports the brand’s “Holiday Helper” campaign, which positions Shipt as the go-to resource for shopping, entertaining and gifting needs this season.

The celebrities discuss what they’ve been up to since the two met up at Union’s holiday party last year and discuss how Shipt delivers everything they need this holiday season. The two send each other ingredients via the same-day delivery service to make festive cupcakes and put a new “twist” on a Gin n’ Juice cocktail.

The video is running on the brand’s website as well as on on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The two celebrities also are posting the video on their social channels.

Shipt offers more than just groceries through its 100+ retailers. And from now until Dec. 27, consumers can get 50% off Shipt delivery by visiting shipt.com/hi.

The company conducted a survey recently and found that contactless shopping is important to 83% of people this year, says Sheila Grady, vice president of brand and product marketing at Shipt.

"We've teamed up with Gabrielle and Snoop since they share a passion for entertaining, embracing strong traditions and can appreciate the variety of items Shipt delivers to help them out,” Grady says in a release.

The digital spot was created by Los Angeles-based Piece Mill. It was directed by Brittany “B. Monét” Fennell, an up and coming Black film director. Given the current landscape, the crew used Zoom to collaborate with the celebrities, who shot in two different locations.
