Former Twentieth TV Ad Exec Teicher Tapped As CRO, Scripps TV Networks

Long-time veteran syndication advertising executive Michael Teicher has been named chief revenue officer of E.W. Scripps’s national TV networks.

Teicher will be responsible for ad-sales strategy for the Scripps networks cross-platform, including general market, direct response, programmatic/digital, long-form and sponsorship advertising.

He will report to Jonathan Katz, COO-head of entertainment for Scripps networks.

Those networks include local TV digital-based Court TV, Newsy, Bounce, Grit, Laff and Court TV Mystery. U.S. TV network ION Television, which has distribution through its 62 owned-and-operated stations, and cable and satellite providers, is also part of the package.

Previously, Teicher was executive vice president, media sales at Fox’s Twentieth Television, heading up syndication for Fox and Debmar Studios TV shows, including “Modern Family,” “Family Guy,” “Family Feud” and “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Before Twentieth, Teicher had been executive vice president of media sales for Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution for Warner Bros. syndicated TV shows, including “Friends,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Two and a Half Men,” “George Lopez” and “The Tyra Banks Show.”

Teicher also held senior executive positions at Turner Broadcasting Sale, Major League Baseball Productions, Replay TV and Harmonic Communications.
