Subaru Launches First 'Wilderness' Spot

Subaru of America is debuting new creative this week that aims to capture the adventurous spirit of the new Subaru Outback Wilderness.

The 30-second spot, “Go Further,” from Carmichael Lynch, is the first creative to highlight the capability of the automaker’s new Wilderness family of vehicles. It aims to “evoke the rugged spirit of the great outdoors the vehicle is built to explore,” per the automaker.

It shows two millennial adventure-seekers as they make their way up an epic mountain in the Subaru Outback Wilderness, outfitted with higher ground clearance, a ruggedly clad exterior and aggressive off-road wheels.

Each jaw-dropping view the pair encounters inspires them to happily keep discovering what’s over the next crest. In the end, their rugged new Subaru Outback Wilderness transports the two friends even higher than their nerves can handle -- right to the edge of the mountain.

The spot will run on ABC, NBC, HGTV, Paramount and Food Network, and will stream on AMC, Discovery+, FX, Peacock, Hulu and Roku.

In other news, Subaru has been awarded the ASPCA’s first ever Corporate Compassion Award in recognition of the company's longtime commitment to supporting pets.

Through the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Subaru and its retailers have supported the health, rescue, transport and adoption of more than 250,000 animals.

Subaru drives awareness for the hardest-to-adopt shelter dogs, the older, deaf, blind and "different" dogs that are lovingly called the "Underdogs," through its annual National Make a Dogs' Day initiative, celebrated each year on Oct. 22.

The campaign was recently recognized by MediaPost’s Marketing: Automotive as its best social campaign of 2020.
