Amazon audio streaming service Audible has put its global media assignment in review.
The company spends an estimated $200 million on measured media annually according to agency research firm COMvergence.
Currently the firm uses multiple incumbents around the world and the assessment could consolidate the assignment with a single holding company, according to sources.
Audible didn’t confirm participants but it’s believed that the company has issued invites to WPP, Interpublic, Omnicom and Publicis and possibly others to participate in the review, according to sources.
In response to a query, an Audible spokesperson issued this statement: “We’re always working to ensure we have the right processes and teams in place to serve our global customer base and provide them with the extraordinary listening experiences they expect from Audible membership.”
ID Comms has been retained to assist with the review process.
