Former Church's Chicken Lead Marketer Lands At Home Healthcare Company

Jennifer Chasteen, former head of U.S. marketing at Church’s Chicken, has been named chief marketing officer at Synergy HomeCare.

In this newly created role, Chasteen will support the rapidly expanding in-home case franchisor and better position the organization to evolve in the growing home care industry.

Elderly baby boomers and aging Gen Xers will prompt an increasing need for healthcare services. AARP reports that the 65-plus population will grow by 30.4% to 73 million by 2030,and that 90% of this group want to “age in place.”

Chasteen, who will report to Chief Executive Officer Charlie Young, comes to the position with more than 20 years of experience working with franchisees.

Most recently, at Church’s Chicken, she headed a a 1,000+ unit franchise system, and was responsible for new product innovation, consumer promotions, traditional and digital advertising and field team activation. As chairwoman of the company’s Marketing Advisory Council, she generated 100% voluntary franchisee support for Church’s Chicken’s inaugural national advertising program.

She previously held executive marketing roles at The Honey Baked Ham Co. and Domino's Pizza.

Her focus at Synergy HomeCare will be on growing consumer engagement and awareness along with franchisee revenue. The company has sold 88 new territories over the last 24 months and now has more than 400 locations nationwide.

The home care vertical is poised for the same sort of exponential growth, Chasteen says.

“I’m looking forward to working with our franchise partners and continuing to fuel a strong brand narrative that allows them to increase revenue, attract caregivers and positively impact as many lives as possible in their local communities,” she says.
