Apple TV+ is rolling out on Comcast’s
Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex and XClass TV platforms, supported by a promotion offering Xfinity customers previews of Apple originals.
From March 15 - 21, Apple will offer Xfinity customers
access to the first seasons of some of Apple TV+’s most popular original series (including “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show”) and films across X1, Flex and Stream, with
no sign-up or sign-in required.
The films available include “Greyhound,” a high-budget World War II movie whose July 2020 release on Apple TV+ instead of in theaters, due to
COVID-19, caused a rare public complaint from star Tom Hanks. (The move generated up to 60,000 new Apple TV+ sign-ups, but fewer than half stuck around beyond the first six months, according to
Antenna data.)

In addition, Xfinity customers who are not currently Apple TV+ subscribers are eligible for a three-month free trial of Apple TV+ when they sign-up via their Xfinity device by
April 25.
Xfinity customers can access Apple TV+ by saying “Apple TV+” into their Xfinity voice remotes or saying the name of a movie or TV show from the streaming service.
Comcast CEO Brian Roberts announced last October that the Apple TV+ app would be made available on Comcast’s platforms at some point.
After launching for Apple customers only in
November 2019, Apple TV+ launched on Roku devices and Amazon Fire TVs, and later smart-TV brands including LG, Samsung, Vizio and Sony, as well as gaming consoles including PlayStation and Xbox. The
app, which is also available on the web, launched on Sky devices in the U.K. and Europe in December.
