UK's Gravity Global Acquires U.S. Agencies 9thWonder B2B & Morsekode

London-based B2B agency Gravity Global is expanding its U.S. footprint with the acquisitions of Houston -based 9thWonder B2B and creative agency Morsekode, located in Minneapolis. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

The acquisitions give Gravity Global offices in a handful of major U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Denver, Detroit and deeper ties with industries like technology, energy, transportation, financial Services among others.  

Now backed by private equity firm Elysian Capital, Gravity Global has completed six acquisitions in the last two years to extend geographical coverage and service offerings. With two more U.S. acquisitions currently in process, Gravity is on track to double in size (currently 300 people and $40 million in sales) this year. It currently has 14 offices worldwide.

As part of the deal, 9thWonder founder Jose Lozano becomes U.S. CEO of Gravity Global. He founded 9thWonder in 2018 by acquiring and integrating six agencies. Clients include Phillips66 and Motiva. The Gravity acquisition is for 9thWonder's B2B division. The remaining part of the 9thWonder agency group remains independent and Lozano remains chairman of it while taking on the new Gravity Global role as well.

Morsekode was founded by Mark Morse who will continue to run it under the new ownership. management. Clients include 3M and Ameriprise Financial. 

Mark Lethbridge, CEO of Gravity Global, said, “Our strategy is to assimilate agencies where we know our chemistry is right from working together on key accounts. We’ve known and worked with 9thWonder and Morsekode for several years.”
