Media measurement and data analytics giant Kantar is about to get a little smaller. Today it announced it has entered into an agreement to sell its Kantar Public operation to private equity firm Trilantic Europe.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Kantar Public is strategic advisor to governments and other public organizations on public policy and services. It currently employs more than 700 people in over 20 countries. It was formed in 2016 and is overseen by CEO Dr. Michelle Harrison.
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter and is subject to completion of the relevant shareholder, legal and regulatory processes, the companies said.
Kantar is owned by Bain Capital and WPP. The holding company sold 60% of the company to Bain in 2019.
