Dallas-based media agency Arm Candy has appointed industry veteran Andy Von Kennel as its first president and partner.
Reporting to Arm Candy CEO and founder John Lods, Von Kennel is tasked with driving growth at the agency and running day-to-day operations.
Lods founded the agency in 2019 and it provides media services to both ad agencies (including Citrus, Lippincott, The Marketing Arm, Tierney, Valtech) and brands (including Caliber Collision, FC Dallas, and Fan Controlled Football).
Most recently Von Kennel was senior vice president, media investments at corporate trading agency Icon International. Earlier he was Chief Client Officer at Initiative and before that was senior vice president/business development & integration at IPG Mediabrands, the holding company’s media management arm.
He earlier served at Rapp and PHD, both part of Omnicom.
Von Kennel joins a leadership team that also includes Marian Leonard, who joined in March as managing director. Earlier she served at marketing agency Ansira as executive vice president and at Sq.1, a Dallas-Fort Worth-area ad agency as Chief Operating Officer.
