Intuit Launches Online Marketplace For Small Businesses

Intuit, parent to Mailchimp and numerous other brands, has launched a marketplace for small businesses to sell wholesale goods.

The new offering, Trada by Quickbooks, will feature such benefits as free membership, one-stop shopping and a large selection of products for buyers, and vetted buyers and wholesale data for sellers, according to a blog post by the company.

In addition, Trada by QuickBooks will provide free shipping for retailers and zero commissions for sellers through the end of 2022.

The new marketplace is built on the firm’s QuickBooks Commerce integration within QuickBooks.

Sellers can showcase their brand and products with a storefront, the firm says. And retailers can use selection criteria such as eco-friendly and handmade when placing orders, it adds.

“We know that product-based businesses face challenges and opportunities in discovering customers and growing their businesses,” says Shilpa Reddy, vice president, QuickBooks Commerce at Intuit.

Reddy adds: “Trada by QuickBooks simplifies the customer and product discovery experience for retailers and wholesale sellers. It also automates order placement and provides rich business insights for growth.”
