Presearch wants to perfect the decentralized approach to building a better search engine, and will provide $1 million in advertising grants to 10 winners, each of whom will receive $100,000.

“This will be a really great way to drive awareness and advertising in the crypto space,” says Colin Pape, project lead at Presearch, in a video.

The projects receiving grants will come from each of the following categories:

• Censorship-resistant currencies /privacy coins
• Layer 1 blockchains
• Layer 2 blockchains
• DeFi
• Metaverse/GameFi
• NFTs
• Web3 platforms (i.e. Lens, LBRY, Minds etc.)
• Infrastructure (i.e. Flux, Metamask, Rainbow, Akash, Uniswap etc.)
• Stablecoins
• Other

 As part of the grant, the projects will receive keyword advertising valued at $50,000.

They will have the ability to select keywords that are related to the project, and to have ads displayed at the top of the search results when users enter those keywords.

Presearch keyword experts will manage the campaign on behalf of the project to ensure the best results.

Pape estimates the winners will receive approximately 25,000 clicks per project through the campaign.

The winners also receive $45,000 in what the company calls a takeover, the opportunity to take over as the daily sponsor of the site for two days.

This includes prominent display of the advertiser’s logo at the top of Presearch along with a link to the project’s website.

The rewards earned by searchers will be attributed to the sponsor. This is a new ad unit that will be coming to all in 2023.

Nominations must be submitted by September 30, 2022, and voting begins October 17, 2022.

Only Presearch members with at least 1,000 PRE can cast a vote. Voting ends November 18, 2022, and winners will be announced November 22.

The campaigns for grant winners begin on December 1, 2022, with keyword staking ads and social exposure, site takeover experiences in early 2023.
