Major TV Exec Changes: Paramount's Nevins Out, Fox's Wade Promoted

Paramount Global and Fox Corp. are making major senior executive changes when it comes to programming and creative content decisions.

Rob Wade has been promoted to chief executive officer of Fox Entertainment. He had been president, alternative entertainment/specials of Fox Entertainment.

Wade replaces Charlie Collier, who recently took a position as president of Roku Media. Collier had been in the position at Fox since 2018.

In addition to working with existing and new TV shows for Fox Television Network, Wade will head Fox content studios, including Bento Box Entertainment, TMZ, MarVista Entertainment and Studio Ramsay Global.

Separately, Paramount Global says David Nevins, chairman and chief executive officer of Paramount Premium Group and chief creative officer of Paramount+ Scripted Series, will be leaving Paramount at the end of 2022. Nevins has been at the company for 12 years.

Three existing Paramount Global executives will replace Nevins' responsibilities as part of a restructuring of some businesses:

- Chris McCarthy, currently president of Paramount Media Networks, will now have Showtime Networks as part of his responsibilities.

- Tom Ryan, president a d CEO of Paramount Streaming, will add Showtime OTT business.

- George Cheeks, president/chief executive officer, CBS, and chief content officer, news and sports, Paramount+, will add BET and Paramount Television Studios under his leadership. Paramount Television Studios  will continue to operate as a studio alongside CBS Studios.

Nevins has headed up some of Showtime’s biggest and most popular TV shows, including "Billions" and "Shameless," and more recently, "Your Honor" and "Yellowjackets."

Wade led big successful Fox Television Network non-scripted shows including “The Masked Singer” as well as “Crime Scene Kitchen,” “LEGO Masters” and “Next Level Chef.”
