Ventures, the venture capital unit of Interpublic's R/GA unit, this morning announced it has teamed with UConn (University of Connecticut) and Hartford-based
startup incubator CTNext to launch the "Future Climate Venture Studio" supporting companies developing "mitigation, adaptation and energy solutions."
The 12-week studio will select six startups to receive investment capital, technology solutions and research, connections and commercial opportunities with industry and
corporate partners.
Sources of capital include:
- Financial Capital: Investment capital to expand and improve existing products, services, and
technologies.
- Relationship Capital: Introductions to top executives across the climate tech ecosystem and beyond, curated to develop specific
business opportunities and accelerate growth.
- Creative Capital: Access to R/GA's award-winning strategists, technologists, designers, and
consultants to provide resources customized to the unique needs of each participating company.

The studio will run from February 6 through April 24, 2023 in a
primarily virtual format, with up to two weeks of in-person programming on the UConn campus.
Weekly virtual program activities -- 4-6 hours per week -- will include one-on-one engagement
with studio partners, collaborators, and mentors, as well as cohort content, tailored to the needs of participating founders.
