R/GA Teams With UConn, Connecticut Incubator To Back 'Future Climate' Ventures

R/GA Ventures, the venture capital unit of Interpublic's R/GA unit, this morning announced it has teamed with UConn (University of Connecticut) and Hartford-based startup incubator CTNext to launch the "Future Climate Venture Studio" supporting companies developing "mitigation, adaptation and energy solutions."

The 12-week studio will select six startups to receive investment capital, technology solutions and research, connections and commercial opportunities with industry and corporate partners.

Sources of capital include:

  • Financial Capital: Investment capital to expand and improve existing products, services, and technologies.
  • Relationship Capital: Introductions to top executives across the climate tech ecosystem and beyond, curated to develop specific business opportunities and accelerate growth.
  • Creative Capital: Access to R/GA's award-winning strategists, technologists, designers, and consultants to provide resources customized to the unique needs of each participating company.

The studio will run from February 6 through April 24, 2023 in a primarily virtual format, with up to two weeks of in-person programming on the UConn campus.

Weekly virtual program activities -- 4-6 hours per week -- will include one-on-one engagement with studio partners, collaborators, and mentors, as well as cohort content, tailored to the needs of participating founders.

Applications close Nov. 27th, 2022 at 11:59pm PT. Email ventures@rga.com
