Nissan is preparing to undertake the world's first all-electric
driving adventure from the North Pole to the South Pole.
A modified Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE, due to be unveiled in February, will be the first vehicle of any type to
take on the journey.
Driven by British adventurer Chris Ramsey and his wife Julia Ramsey, the Ariya will travel more than 16,775 miles, navigating some of the world's most extreme
conditions.
In preparation to accommodate the harsh polar terrain of the Arctic and Antarctic, Ramsey’s expedition Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE is being modified with a custom rugged
exterior fit, including a raised suspension and flared wheel arches to accommodate large tires.
The automaker created a 53-second video showing the modifications being made to
the vehicle.
