In collaboration with sellers and manufacturers like
BMW and Yamaha, Amazon is making hundreds of thousands of automotive and power sports parts and accessories from original equipment manufacturers available to U,S. customers.
The
newly launched OEM Automotive Parts Shop aims to offer a streamlined and personalized shopping experience. It allows customers to shop
genuine parts using Amazon Garage to filter selection for their vehicle’s year, make, model, and other
specifications.
As they shop, customers can see transparent price listings for each item, as well as detailed product and fitment information directly from manufacturers and
sellers to ensure they are purchasing the right product.

Since 2020, Amazon has seen an average 20% increase annually in the number of vehicles U.S. customers have saved in the
Amazon Garage, says Ernie Linsay, Amazon’s director of automotive.
“(This shows) a clear customer interest in shopping for parts and accessories for their vehicles
similar to the way they shop for other consumer products,” Linsay says in a release. “This inspired us to collaborate with OEMs to enhance the overall selection available to customers
online.”
Amazon’s collaboration with manufacturers also enables sellers, including dealerships, to list discounts and deals to both local and national
customers.
Once customers determine the part or accessory they’d like to purchase, they can also choose a nearby service provider on the product page, as well as view
service offerings and appointment availability on select product and service areas.
Like many durable goods, automotive parts have become somewhat more difficult to find due to shopping
issues.
According to repair site Crash Network, 85% of the repair shops it surveyed are scheduling work at least two weeks or more into the future due to a lack of
parts, or to staffing challenges.
