Single-malt The Glenlivet has hit on a novel way to promote itself: game night.
The whisky company has teamed with potter-designer Jonathan Adler to produce the limited-collection The Glenlivet x Jonathan Adler New Fashioned Game Night Kit.
Each special-edition set, housed in a high-gloss custom-lacquered box, includes a Rocket Scotch Decanter, porcelain Eden coasters, two leopard lacquer card sets, along with Adler’s hosting tips and an exclusive cocktail recipe. Just add a bottle of The Glenlivet 12 Year Old, the original Speyside Single Malt.
The set is promoted on The Glenlivet and Jonathan Adler's owned social channels, as well as through paid influencers. The Game Night Kit is part of a larger campaign from The Glenlivet, entitled "Break From The Ordinary."
"The Glenlivet is always striving to redefine category norms, break from tradition and set new standards for premium Scotch whisky. We continuously celebrate originality by partnering with talented collaborators who challenge conventions in their own vocations," saidJohan Radojewski, vice president of marketing Scotch, Irish & Prestige Whiskey, Pernod Ricard USA.

"Our partnership encourages consumers to enjoy Scotch more often and elevate an ordinary night in with the Scotch that’s anything but ordinary," he added.
The Game Night collection sells exclusively at Jonathan Adler’s site for $310.
Adler calls The Glenlivet "iconic, iconoclastic and it announces to your guests that you have impeccable taste. He told Whiskey Raiders it was "the perfect spirit to elevate all your favorite classic cocktails."
Created by George Smith in 1824, The Glenlivet was one of the first single malt Scotches shipped to the U.S. prior to Prohibition.
