Rapper Bad Bunny Teams With Apple Music, PepsiCo For 'Press Play On Summer'

Apple Music’s 2022 Artist of the Year Bad Bunny is helping the platform woo more subscribers while promoting the sale of PepsiCo beverages in a partnership called “Press Play On Summer.”

Starting today, QR codes on certain 20-ounce bottles of Pepsi, Mtn Dew and Starry unlock the chance to win one of more than 100,000 instant prizes, along with entry into a sweepstakes for paid trips to live Apple Music events.

The instant prizes available until Sept. 17 range from $5 prepaid Mastercards to Beats wireless headphones with an average retail value of $349.95 each.

People who scan the codes can also activate three months of free access to Apple Music, which costs $10.99 per month thereafter unless canceled.

Apple Music’s normal offer is one free month and $10.99 monthly.

PepsiCo hasn’t released details about Apple Music’s summer festivities beyond this brief trailer in which Bad Bunny is seen from behind spraying his face with sunscreen.

Sweepstakes winners receive airfare, hotel accommodations and two tickets to an Apple Music live event.

Apple Music kicked off its 2023 live events on May 10 with a performance by Ed Sheeran in London.
