Cambio Roasters Pours First Brand Campaign

Fair-trade coffee pod company Cambio Roasters wants to reduce waste.

Its first new national brand campaign, tagged “Rich Taste, Less Waste,” underscores its commitment to sustainability.

The work runs across digital and social channels in North America.

AOR Terri & Sandy tapped three illustrators — Maggie Stephenson, Joe Taylor, and Armando Veve — to produce ads that highlight Cambio’s earth-friendly message and the impact its recyclable coffee pods could have on the world. The illustrations were transformed into animated videos.

Cambio Roasters, founded by Kevin Hartley, the former Chief Innovation Officer of Keurig-Green Mountain, creates fully recyclable coffee pods to combat the 30 million single-serve coffee pods dumped in landfills daily.

The sustainable free-trade coffee pod brand, filled with small-batch roasted Arabica coffees, contributes 20% of its profits to coffee-farming families. (Cambio means “change” in Spanish.)

Kevin, co-founder of Cambio Roasters, said the agency “developed breakthrough creative that brings our small but deserving environmentally conscious brand to life.”

"We knew that in order to make an impact, this campaign would have to be different from anything else in the already crowded coffee category,” added Jenna Zink, creative director at Terri & Sandy. “This was truly a passion project for us."
