Gmail is rolling out its “Help me write” AI function, and it is now widely available in the Workspace Labs program on Android and iOS, 9to5 Google reports.
Users are greeted with an introductory prompt, after which a “Help me write” button appears in the bottom right-hand corner, 9to5 Google continues.
The user can then enter the text in the compose feed, after which the message can be refined or polished in these ways: Formalize, Elaborate, Shorten, I’m feeling Lucky and write a draft, the report adds.
The feature does not yet appear to be available in Google Docs mobile apps.
