Omnicom Group has acquired a majority stake in Hamburg, Germany-based ad agency Grabarz & Partner.
The deal expands the holding company’s footprint in the country, which is the fourth largest advertising market globally.
The agency was founded in 1993 and now has 260 employees and clients such as Ikea, Lidl and Porsche. It has won numerous accolades including being named to Cannes Lions’ Top Ten Independent Agencies of the Decade” (2010-2020).

G&P's management team will continue to serve in their current roles following the closing of the transaction, Omnicom said, including Ralf Heuel, co-founder and managing partner.
The transaction is expected to close later in the third quarter subject to closing conditions, including regulatory approval. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
