Havas Acquires 51% Stake In UK Agency Uncommon

Havas has acquired a 51% stake in the UK agency Uncommon Creative Studio.

The Uncommon founders--Natalie Graeme, Lucy Jameson and Nils Leonard--will continue to manage the business and retain a 49% interest in the agency.

Prior to forming their agency in London in 2017 the three founders held senior roles at Grey units in London, Europe and EMEA.

Uncommon touts capabilities in advertising, design, brand strategy, communication, PR, experiential, strategy, creative technology, production, CX, and CRM.

Havas said the “future potential” value of the agency is between 80 million GBP and 120 million GBP based on its “projected growth plans.” The French holding company did not disclose how much it paid for its stake.

But the deal will provide Uncommon with resources to expand its footprint while it in turn will share its “best practices” throughout Havas and units within Havas parent company Vivendi.

Uncommon has worked with clients such as Google and Pinterest. It won an Outdoor Grand Prix at Cannes this year for work on a campaign for British Airways called “A British Original.”
