Stagwell Media Chief McGlashan Joins Brand Governance Platform As CMO

Long-time agency media leader Deirdre McGlashan is jumping to the marketing side, joining brand governance platform BrandGuard as chief marketing officer.

She joins from Stagwell, where she has served as chief media officer for nearly three years, and previously was a top digital media exec at GroupM's Mediacom, Aegis Media (now Dentsu Media), Isobar, Carat, and Agency.com.

BrandGuard "uses AI-technology to act as a validation system for brands, ensuring that every piece of content, irrespective of its source or creation speed, conforms to the brand’s ethos and aligns with the brand’s identity, style, and values," the company said in a statement announcing McGlashan's appointment.
