Once again it’s Super Bowl Post-Mortem Analysis Week. And the curious folks at Stagwell’s Harris Quest—via the pollster’s QuestDIY platform--have some insights for you. 

As you probably know, pop music superstar Taylor Swift and star Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have disrupted NFL telecasts this season with their storybook romance. Some people love it, some people don’t. Some people thought it would bring the Chiefs bad luck. Ha! 

Anyway, the issue is the amount of screen time Swifty has received during televised Chiefs games.  

And she was front and center during CBS’s Super Bowl coverage. Was it too much? Well, the country seems evenly divided on that question. 47% indicated she received “the right amount” of coverage and 45% said “too much.” 

Really? Too much? Is that the same 45% that says they watch the game for the ads? 

According to the survey, the meme of the night was Kelce screaming in the face of KC coach Andy Reid during the second quarter, which of course CBS caught, and the scene went viral. 25% of respondents said that was the meme of the night. Did Kelce cross the line with his tirade? The survey didn’t ask.  

Dunkin’s commercial with Lopez, Affleck, Damon et al was the favorite ad of respondents to this poll. My two cents: Damon saved that one.  

Favorite condiment at Super Bowl parties? Ranch, by a wide margin. 35% said so in the survey which increased to 42% among women polled.  

The survey also asked respondents to rank their favorite half-time performances in order over the last five years. This year’s top-billed performer, Usher was ranked second behind the 2022 performance that featured Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dog and others.  

The Harris Quest survey, part of the Stagwell Marketing Cloud suite of tools, was conducted online Monday among 1,000 adult respondents nationally representative based on age, gender and region.
