Mod Op Acquires RTO+P, Expands Creative Capabilities

Digital marketing agency Mod Op has acquired Philadelphia-based creative agency Red Tettemer O'Connell + Partners (RTO+P).

The buy expands Mod Op's capabilities in social media, experiential marketing and content production.

RTO+P has done creative work for clients such as E&J Gallo Wineries, Dietz & Watson, Sparkling Ice, Stanley Black & Decker, Reyka Vodka and MetLife.

“Client demands are changing quickly,” explained Eric J Bertrand, CEO of Mod Op. “Brands need more than data to be successful. They must be able to apply creative thinking to leading-edge insights to generate breakthrough strategies and campaigns. The addition of RTO+P expands our creative capital and empowers clients to realize the full value of their digital investment.”

The agency said it would achieve new level of data-driven creativity.

RTO+P will run as a Mod Op independent business unit under the banner “RTO+P a Mod Op company.” The RTO+P executive team will continue in their current roles, while taking on broader leadership roles in the Mod Op org structure. Nothing changes for RTO+P clients or employees, save for greater access to broader tech, data and AI offerings.

Mod Op has been on an acquisition roll for a year.

In Q4 2023, Mod Op acquired PR firm Crenshaw Communications, its first strategic move into public relations, and dPrism a digital transformation consultancy. In January 2023, it acquired Context Creative, a Toronto-based creative agency.

Mod Op is based in Miami with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Kansas City, Portland, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Toronto, Canada and Panama City, Panama. Its client roster includes Nestlé, Baha Mar, ExxonMobil, VTech and LeapFrog.
