TV Ad Sales Veteran Lucas Named CRO Of Tubi

Longtime TV network advertising executive Jeff Lucas will take the top ad sales post at Fox-owned ad-supported streaming service Tubi as its chief revenue officer.

Lucas will report to Jeff Collins, president of advertising sales at Fox Corp., and will oversee business for Tubi's “incremental audiences” in an effort to fuel advertiser partnerships, products and solutions.

Anjali Sud, CEO of Tubi, said in a release that under Lucas, the channel's effort will focus on helping advertisers reach the cord-cutters and "cord-nevers" of traditional TV.

Lucas comes to Tubi after working at the head of North American sales and global client solutions at Verizon Media, overseeing Yahoo, AOL, Xbox and MSN.

Before that he was head of advertising sales and marketing for Viacom’s media networks, including MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon. Previously he served as president, advertising sales/marketing at NBCUniversal’s Cable Group.

The company says 63% of Tubi users are cord cutters and cord nevers, and 30% are unreachable on other major ad-supported streamers, according to the November 2023 MRI-Simmons study.

Analysts estimated last year Tubi totaled $1.0 billion in advertising revenue.
