Sobriety-Inducing Safety Shots Soon Available At Retail

 

 

Getting drunk is typically the point of doing shots. Now there’s a shot available soon at your local liquor store that actually promises to sober you up and lower your blood alcohol content (BAC).

The week Safety Shot announced it has redesigned its packaging for its proprietary formula into portable 4 oz shot sizes, available at convenience and liquor stores nationwide in Q3.

The product was previously sold online at https://drinksafetyshot.com and on Amazon in four packs of 12 oz cans.

Safety Shot touts itself as the a “first of its kind functional beverage” that “reduce(s) blood alcohol content by supporting metabolism in as little as 30 minutes.” The shot contains essential B vitamins, antioxidants, electrolytes and nootropics, which are designed to “boost mental clarity, energy and overall mood,” per the brand. The patented formula “accelerates the detoxification process.”

"Our new 4-ounce bottles are designed to fit seamlessly into any routine, ensuring that our customers can carry our formula at ease, no matter where they are," said Josh Wagner, chief revenue officer of Safety Shot, in a release.

The company has been usng influencer marketing, sponsorships and an ambassador program to promote the sobriety-inducing beverage. Earlier this year the company announced it had tapped Steve Deleonardis of @SteveWillDoIt, who reportedly has millions of followers, to promote Safety Shot online.

The brand was also the Official Recovery Drink for some of the largest events during the last Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas, including Shaq’s Fun House, Sports Illustrated The Party and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate.

Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA fighter Jorge Masvidal serves as a Safety Shot ambassador.

The company was acquired by Jupiter Wellness Inc. in 2023, which produces prescription-grade health and wellness products.
