NHL's Anaheim Ducks Hire Battery To Refresh Brand

The National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks has selected a new creative agency of record: Battery.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch.

Battery's remit is creative strategy and brand narrative to drive integrated-marketing content. First up is a brand refresh for the sports team. The agency just debuted the Ducks' new brand platform.

A fully integrated brand campaign, including social, TV/OTT, OOH, radio, digital and experiential, will roll out later this summer and throughout the 2024-2025 season.

“The sports and entertainment world is constantly evolving, and we take pride in helping our clients break through the crowded space to galvanize current and new fans worldwide.” said Michelle Nam Fischer, group creative director at Battery.

The Anaheim Ducks were born in 1992 and played its first game on Oct. 8, 1993. The team says it has played to over 90% capacity crowds in its history at the 17,174-seat Honda Center. The Ducks were the first California team to win the Stanley Cup in 2007.

A lead creative agency of the Paris-based Havas Group, Battery has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and Shanghai. Clients include Warner Bros. Games, Royal Bank of Canada and Gran Coramino Tequila.
