Ford is teaming up with N+ to
launch a lineup of officially licensed e-bikes inspired by two of its most popular brands — the Bronco and Mustang.
The Bronco e-bike features a 750W hub-mounted motor that generates 125 Nm of torque and is designed with a G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain)-inspired dual suspension system and a motorcycle-style seat.
There will also be two Mustang bikes including a limited-edition Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition model, which is available exclusively through Ford dealers.
The Mustang bikes focus on bringing the design and technology of the Mustang sports car to e-bikes, with handling that mimics the iconic sports car.
"We know the passion and thrill that gets unlocked when people get behind the wheel of a Bronco and Mustang,” said Tyler Hill, Ford global brand licensing manager in a release. “These new e-bikes will allow more people to experience the adventurous spirit of a Bronco and the exhilaration of a Mustang from the moment they grip the handlebars.”

Besides riffing on the popular vehicles, e-bikes fit into Ford Smart Mobility, the company’s plan to help change the way the world moves through innovation in connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, customer experience and big data, which kicked off in 2015.
Supported by a prototype journey-planning app, Handle on Mobility explores the integration of e-bikes for commuters and commercial users with automotive and public transportation options.
The Bronco eBike starts at $4,500 MSRP. For an additional $390, customers can choose from 10 additional color options beyond standard Area 51.
The Mustang eBike starts at $4,000 MSRP. For an additional $390, customers can choose from 10 additional color options beyond standard Carbonized Gray Metallic
Both eBikes can be ordered at www.ford-bikes.com, with deliveries expected later this year.
