Tombras Acquires Buenos Aires Agency Nina, Opens First Global Outpost


Advertising agency Tombras has added to its global reach. It has acquired Buenos Aires shop Niña. This is the agency's first international outpost.

The Knoxville, Tennessee-based agency did not release financial terms of the acquisition.

The 55-person shop will operate in Argentina as TombrasNiña and continue to be led by Niña’s three partners: Gonzalo Vecino (CCO LATAM), Pablo Alvarez Travieso (CCO LATAM), and Pablo Panigatti (head of business development, LATAM). Jeff Benjamin, CCO of Tombras, will oversee creative worldwide.

Tombras said the new agency will enhance its competitive edge, given its award-winning talent.

Founded in 2012, Niña is an award-winning creative agency. Clients include Bplay, Disney, ABInBev, Under Armou and Bacardi.

Vecino said that joining Tombras means “we are poised to elevate our work to unprecedented heights.”

In the past few years, Tombras has expanded its U.S. presence with offices in New York, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Tombras' client work includes Moon Pie, BMW Motorrad, ESPN and FreshDirect.
