Republicans and Democrats have at least somewhat different news consumption habits. But they also share similarities, judging by a study from Morning Consult.
Of the individuals polled, nearly 60% from both parties watch ABC, CBS and NBC.
But Democrats are 23% more likely to watch CNN, while the same percentage of Republicans lean toward Fox.
However, Fox does not win hands-down — 59% of Republicans watch Fox News, while 60% watch CBS, 59% watch ABC and 58% watch NBC.
But the sides differ when it comes to reliability, with 63% of Democrats saying they have ”a lot” or “some” confidence in the news media, versus 38% of Republicans.
They are roughly tied on social media consumptions, with 51% of Democrats and 52% of Republicans turning to social for news at least once per day, more than they do for any other news source.
Morning Consult surveyed roughly 2,200 U.S. consumers from July 31 to August 4, 2004. The study also reflects historical trend data.

Ray, you said "Fox News" in comparision to ABC, NBC and CBS. However you didn't say if ABC, NBC or CBS was "News" in the comparision. I watch then for sports and little of anything else. Explain?
