Yahoo Mail has
unveiled new mobile app features that it says can help consumers cope with holiday stress.
The new tools started rolling out this month as part of Yahoo Mail’s new app
experience for iOS in the United States.
A study by Yahoo Mail shows that 91% of consumers do some of their holiday shopping online, and that half of those will shop entirely online this
year.
To help with this, Yahoo Mail now has a one-tap filter that organizes and categorizes purchase history and package status.
Every transaction and return can be organized,
and packages can be tracked in real-time, Yahoo says.
Moreover, Yahoo Mail will help the 75% of shoppers who use emails to see offers and retrieve discount codes with a carousel of
deals, specials, coupon codes and sale notification, it adds.

Then there is travel. Yahoo Mail notes that 40% of holiday travelers rely on email as the main tool for organizing their
itineraries, but says 33% have postponed trips because of the stress of disorganized inboxes.
A new feature allows users to check in, copy confirmation codes, track upcoming flights, and
manage schedules.
“Yahoo Mail aims to take the work out of email, with features that help our users manage the stress of the holiday season,” says Rob Gelick, general
manager, Yahoo Mail. “With these new shopping and travel features, users are able to stay on top of their purchases, packages and itineraries, helping them manage their email and stay organized
no matter what comes their way.”
