Marketers are constantly being advised to design their emails for mobile phones.
This has a certain urgency to it. American consumers now check their phones 205 times a day, up from 144 times in 2023, according to Cell Phone Usage Stats, a study by Reviews.org.
So they are in a position to see marketers' emails and notifications.
Of course, doctors and sociologists may debate whether this is good for anyone.
Of the consumers polled in this study, 80.60% said they check their phones within 10 minutes of waking up, while 51.30 sleep with their phones at night. Indeed, 43.2% feel they are addicted to their phones.
Moreover, 65.70% use their phone while in the bathroom, while 38.10% look at them while on a date, 38.10% check them at work and 27% check them when driving.
