Paramount+ led major premium streamers for all of 2024 and for the last two months of the year in U.S. sign-ups, according to estimates from Antenna, a subscription research platform.
The Paramount Global streamer topped all platforms with 42.0 million gross U.S. sign-ups. Hulu (on demand) was next at 31.2 million. Peacock was in third place at 30.6 million, followed by Netflix with 26.5 million.
Looking at the last two months of the year, Paramount+ was also the strongest performer at 9.1 million, benefiting from NFL programming with high-profile Taylor Sheridan-produced TV shows “Yellowstone,” “Landman” and “Special Ops: Lioness.”
Hulu was in second place over the last two months at 6.8 million, continues to see strong results from its library product: “Bob Burgers”, “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost” and movie “Elf."

For 2024, Peacock’s two best months were January (4.7 million) and July (4.2 million) -- due to an NFL Wild Card game and the Paris Olympics, respectively.
Netflix continues to see strong results, posting the second-highest number of signups for the last two months of the year, at 5.8 million. It scored major results with two original programs -- “The Madness” and “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey,” as well as the top movie result “Our Little Secret” around Thanksgiving Week.
Antenna data draws from those users who sign up to a service as paid subscribers or free trials, but does not include "trial conversions."
Also, data does not account for those cancellations in the same month -- the so-called "churn rate."
This research comes via a number of third-party distributors including Amazon Channels, Amazon Fire TV, Direct, Disney Bundle, Google Play, Hulu, iTunes, Paramount Bundle, Roku Apps, The Roku Channel, YouTube TV, YouTube Primetime Channels, Antenna says.
