In her first Super Bowl commercial,
Issa Rae ("Insecure") shows why TurboTax is the preferable filing route.
RG/A created the 45-second spot, which runs in the first half of the second quarter. The "Now This Is Taxes" tag illustrates how the company is making taxes easier with live tax experts on call.
(The new commercial was released Feb. 7.)
Turbo Tax has been the official financial and accounting software sponsor for the NFL since 2019. The spot will explain TurboTax’s "done-for-you" tax prep solutions to make the situation less stressful.
“It’s 2025 — so why are we still doing taxes the hard way? For the Super Bowl, we set out to amplify our “Now This is Taxes” campaign. Enter Issa Rae, embarking on an unnecessarily grueling pilgrimage to a tax preparer — metaphorically proving that there’s now a better, more modern way to file — with a TurboTax expert, right from your phone,” Ryan O'Keefe, group creative director at R/GA, told Agency Daily.

"I was hyped to get this opportunity and really actually intrigued by the creative because it was very relatable to me just knowing how daunting taxes can be," Rae told People.
The 2025 Super Bowl will be broadcast Feb. 9 on Fox and stream free on Tubi.
